Empow Studios Celebrates One Year In Lexington

Empow Studios celebrated our first year in Lexington Center by hosting a birthday party for friends and families on Sunday, November 2. Visitors came from Lexington, Concord, Arlington, Belmont, Newton, and places in between to join the celebration.

Kids manoeuvered robots around the Studio, made animated movies, helped build a Kapla cake (and knock it down), and put their requests in for the 3D printer while parents watched, chatted and explored the Studio.

“We opened the Studio in November 2013 with the goal of making it a safe, inviting place for kids to try new channels of creativity that will prepare them for whatever their technology-rich future may bring,” says Leonid Tunik, Empow’s Founder and CEO. “Our programs – an engaging After-School Club, sold-out summer camps, weekend classes, and special events – are striking a chord with the community, and we look forward to marking many more anniversaries in the years to come.”

The party culminated in a cake cutting and a grand prize drawing – a free week of Empow Camp. The winners, first-time visitors to the Studio, were thrilled: “My son was so excited when he got home from Empow’s party that he got out a MINDSTORM kit he had never played with before and spent all evening building with his dad. I know he will love camp!”
