Empow Studios expands camp offerings to serve Franklin area families

Franklin, MA – Educating students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is considered essential to boost possibilities and prepare them for a changing world. Now, Franklin area parents looking to enhance summer learning and enroll their children in STEM programs have more options close to home.

Empow Studios, which has studios in Lexington and Newton, and holds camps and classes around the Boston metro area, is offering camps a Dean College this summer. “We’ve been trying to expand to Norfolk county for quite some time, so we’re ecstatic to finally serve the community with STEM programs, including our classes with Medway Recreation & our Franklin Summer Camps,” notes Empow’s Executive Director Dave Gutierrez.

The week-long summer STEM camps, that have expanded Empow’s existing camp network, are geared towards students ages 7-14 and focus on subjects ranging from robotics, 3D printing and Java coding to stop-motion animation, architectural design, audio engineering and Minecraft Campers complete collaborative challenges throughout the week, earning achievement badges that level up from white belt to black belt, and go home with project files to be shared with family and friends.
