Belmont STEM Summer Camps add new Summer Camp programs

Empow Studios adds to its Belmont summer camp offerings

Lexington, MA – After running successful STEM education camps in Belmont since 2013, Empow Studios educators will return to the Beth El Temple Center for another summer of fun and learning in 2019. “We’re always trying to expand our summer offerings to give more options for local families. We’re excited to introduce our Java Coding Camp to Belmont, to go along with Tech & Design and Minecraft Camps,” says Empow’s Executive Director of Marketing Dave Gutierrez.

Empow Studios, which has studios in Lexington and Newton, has taught with Belmont Public Library and Belmont Public Schools, holding after school classes at Wellington Elementary since 2016.

The week-long summer STEM camps, that have expanded Empow’s existing camp network, are geared towards students ages 7-14 and focus on subjects ranging from robotics, 3D printing and coding to stop-motion animation, architectural design, and audio engineering. Campers complete collaborative challenges throughout the week, earning achievement badges that level up from white belt to black belt, and go home with project files to be shared with family and friends.
