Brookline STEM Summer Camps add new Summer Camp programs
Empow Studios adds to its Brookline summer camp offerings for 2019
Brookline, MA – After running successful STEM education camps in Brookline since 2014, Empow Studios educators will return for another summer of fun and learning in 2019. “We’ve been teaching with 6 Brookline Public Schools for years now, and the for Summer we’re excited to expand our summer offerings and give more options for local families. For Summer 2019, we’ll be running both a Java Coding Camp and a Girls STEM Camp to go along with Tech & Design and Minecraft Camps,” says Empow’s Executive Director Dave Gutierrez.
Empow Studios, which has studios in Lexington and Newton, runs classes at the Brookline Library branches and six Brookline schools during the school year.
The week-long summer STEM camps, that have expanded Empow’s existing camp network, are geared towards students ages 7-14 and focus on subjects ranging from robotics, 3D printing and coding to stop-motion animation, architectural design, audio engineering and Minecraft. Campers complete collaborative challenges throughout the week and go home with project files to be shared with family and friends.
