Lexington Girls STEAM Club on Saturdays kicks off on Sept 21, 2019. You can enroll anytime; new kids join nearly every week via rolling admission.

Girls… They’re awesome problem solvers, creators, designers, and collaborators. So why is it that girls claimed only 19% of all bachelor’s degrees in engineering and 18% in computer science in 2014? Our Girls STEAM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) tries to bring some balance to the world by exploring coding and engineering through projects in animation, robotics, 3D modeling, fashion, and design. Our female teachers will build the group’s confidence and knowledge with a new challenge each week, giving the group a taste of a wide variety of technologies. No prior experience is required, and the club is open to girls in grades 2-6.

At Girls STEAM Club, kids join at a rolling admission throughout the school year. Our curriculum covers a wide variety of subjects across digital arts & design, building, and coding, and is designed to accommodate all skill levels at self-pace. We accomplish this by offering individual and group engagement, where girls work together to accomplish both simple and complex technology projects. We believe that project-based, hands-on experience is an integral asset to a child’s ability to discover and create.
