Class runs 2/2/20 – 4/5/20

The obsession with creating Minecraft Mods is not surprising – kids know and love the game of Minecraft, but to make changes to the game that alter the look and/or functionality creates a personalized experience for the player. However, mods aren’t easy to create, and sometimes involve deep programming knowledge or 3rd party tools that require parent support.

That’s why we’ve created a Minecraft Modding class. We’ll walk through the basic of creating a mod, and work towards changing skins, effect, and rules in which game is governed by. This allows for kids to get extremely creative and personalize the Minecraft experience by developing their own custom mods. Students will learn how to use MCreator, a 3rd party Mod creation tool, while learning fundamentals on commands and programming.
