Empowering Girls in STEAM
Girls… They’re awesome problem solvers, creators, designers, and collaborators. So why is it that girls claimed only 19% of all bachelor’s degrees in engineering and 18% in computer science in 2014? Our Girls STEAM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) tries to bring some balance to the world by exploring coding and engineering through projects in animation, robotics, 3D modeling, fashion, and design. Our female teachers will build the group’s confidence and knowledge with a new challenge each week, giving the group a taste of a wide variety of technologies. No prior experience is required, and the club is open to girls in grades 2-8.
The Girls STEAM Club starts on Sept 9th. This club tends to be full with a waiting list, so please book your seat to ensure your daughter’s spot in the club.
Girl’s projects in STEAM
We blend creative storytelling, art, and technology to make mini-movies with stop-motion and digital animation.
Our curriculum is designed to inspire girls to build robotic projects in things they love, like pets and gymnastics!
We use a combination of art and 3D modeling to introduce girls to designing fashion and wearable technology.
Our curriculum is designed to include group activities, individual projects, and demos from our expert staff. This allows for mentorship and leadership opportunities among the Club members, while allowing each individual student to grow, learn, and have fun.
The goal of this club is to empower girls to use their confidence and unique skills to make big leaps in art and technology. The Girls STEAM Club will have weekly introductions to new creative and technical skills, while nurturing their ambition with female guest speakers.
