Gear up for a weekly robotics class, or train for next season’s FLL

Robotics Club at Empow Studios is a cooperative, welcoming group where kids work together to accomplish challenges and missions, inspired by FLL – the FIRST LEGO League. Whether your child is looking to build and program their first robot, or start training for the FLL competition, these weekly classes cover the coding and engineering needed to make autonomous robots. We use LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 kits, the newest version of LEGO robotic software and equipment. This club is open for kids in grades 2-6.

We built our FLL table to match the qualified specifications regulated by FLL, that way future competitors will be well-prepared for the season. Never heard of FLL? No problem! Check out our FIRST LEGO League team page for more details.

We run a number of robotics programs through the year. Please see our class schedules below.

Our Approach with Robotics

Our curriculum is designed to include group activities, individual projects, and demos from our expert staff. This philosophy allows for mentorship and leadership opportunities among the Club members, while allowing each individual student to grow, learn, and have fun.

Robotics Club at Empow Studios is a combination of design, engineering, and programming. Watch our video on Building to learn more.

Additional Details

We provide all equipment necessary for the classes; Club members do not need to bring equipment. Kids can not take home robots after building them. We can save their designs in our studio for a reasonable amount of time until they’ve completed successful missions, but over time they will need to break them down and redesign and reprogram for robot optimization.

Please refer to our Policies page for more details. For our Studio Classes, we must receive a 30-day cancellation notice prior to the student’s last day in our program.
