A trip to Mexico among the prizes in the ‘Mommy Poppins’ online survey

In the old days, favorite spots were the ‘talk of the town’ or passed along by ‘word of mouth.’ Today, thanks to social media, parents are only a click away from showing their support for an organization. And, in some cases, you can win prizes for registering your opinions. That’s the case with the new ‘Mommy Poppins’ online survey, as it aims to identify the best family spots in the Boston Metro area through its ‘Boston Besties’ program.
“The ‘Boston Besties’ is an awards program where Mommy Poppins readers vote on a slate of businesses in 24 Categories,” says Laura Esposito of Mommy Poppins. “The businesses with the most votes at the end of the period win and are featured in our ‘Boston Besties Guide’ on MommyPoppins.com.”
Empow Studios is listed as a finalist in the ‘Best Boston Kids STEM Program’ category. “Empow Studios has been on our radar for years and was nominated by our local Boston editors,” adds Esposito. “We are impressed with the wide variety of STEM and STEAM class and camp offerings for kids and tweens. We love how Empow brings technology alive for kids in a fun, yet educational, way.”
Voting continues through November 20, 2016, and those who vote put themselves in the running for prizes, including a family getaway to Great Wolf Lodge New England and a luxury family vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. “Finalists are selected by our editorial team after a reader nomination period,” says Esposito. “Every nominee has an equal chance of making the cut, there is no pay to play and we don’t give extra credit to our business partners or advertisers.”
