Coding Club at Empow Studios is for kids who want to create games, animations, programs, and applications, by writing actual code. Kids with no previous experience start with Scratch, a block-based, drag & drop coding language that’s easy to understand, yet scalable enough to grasp the fundamentals of programming. Once kids are familiar with Scratch, we introduce Java, a popular programming language used today in the applications living in your Android device, and in the 2nd best-selling video game of all time, Minecraft.
Time & Cost:
Classes run every Sunday morning, 11:30am – 1:00pm.
Club membership requires a monthly payment of $120 through a credit card or bank account on file with Empow. Monthly payments are processed on the same calendar day that you sign up (Sept 12th, Oct 12th, Nov 12th, etc).
