Empow’s award-winning live online virtual classes are available Monday through Friday, 9am – 9pm ET / 6am – 6pm PT, and can keep your elementary- and middle-school children learning, engaged, and having meaningful fun. Most students sign up for two or four hours per day with other options available. With our amazing instructors leading live classes, and with no more than six students per room, students get highly interactive and personalized attention so they remain enthusiastic and successful. Programs work on our proprietary learning platform, Talent Box, which has been proven in the United States and internationally by tens of thousands of happy kids.

Empow’s wide, award-winning curriculum offers dozens of topics so we can find options your child will be excited to learn. Initially, to better meet demand during this trying time, we are focusing classes on five topics. Students can choose or sign up to learn them all!

Getting Ready

In the days before classes begin, you will receive simple-to-follow instructions that will guide you through each step to be ready for class.

For those that need additional help, we are running webinars every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday at 12pm ET / 9am PT that will answer your questions and guide you through each step. Video, phone, chat, and email-based technical support are additionally available.

In the Classroom

Students meet live with their instructor and classmates. In each 2-hour live class meeting, students will:

Gather as a group and, using video and audio on their computers, talk and interact
Work independently, and at their own pace, on our learning management system, TalentBox
Tackle projects such as coding a video game or engineering a 3D digital bridge
Get one-on-one video-enabled help from their instructor to help them complete their project
Submit their projects to the instructor who will offer feedback and areas for improvement
Earn badges as they progress through increasingly challenging projects
Collaborate with other students, review each other’s projects and offer encouragement and help
Take breaks as a group for stretching and physical activities

Acclimating Students to the Online Learning Environment

In school, students need to learn the rules of their classroom — such as whether or not to raise their hands before they ask a question — and learn where books, resources and supplies are located. It’s the same in a virtual classroom. Students need to learn how to navigate around, ask questions, share their work with each other and the instructor and more. We are holding webinars every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at 2pm ET / 11am PT. All students — regardless of what class they sign up for — are required to attend a session so that they can start class ready to go!

Outside of Class Time

Students have ongoing access to TalentBox, their online files, and all of the software they use during class. So whenever they want, your children can continue to work on the projects they started during class.

PROGRAMS: OPTIONS TO MEET YOUR NEEDS

All of our virtual programs run in four-week sessions. New sessions kick-off each week, so your child can begin as early as next week.

EXPLORE

This program is ideal for working parents that need to have two or four hours per day of reliably uninterrupted time, and for children who would like to explore a wide range of learning topics and find what most ignites their passion.

Students join us five days a week, Monday through Friday, with each class meeting for two hours each day. We offer six different times each day 9am-9pm ET / 6am-6pm PT, so you can choose a time that works best for you and your child.

Once your child is assigned to class, he or she will meet at that same time each day, with the same group of students and the same instructors. Each week, the class will focus on one of our topics, with the initial options including Digital Arts — Animation, Digital Arts — 3D Sculpting, Computer Aided Design — TinkerCad, Coding – Scratch and Coding – Python. In this way, students are exposed to four different topics during the session.

Outside of class time, students have unlimited access to our online learning platform, TalentBox, so they can continue learning and working on their digital movie, code or others projects while enrolled.

This program option includes phone, email, chat and webinar-based technical support so we can get your child up and learning smoothly.

April 6th: 2nd-8th graders (students divided up by grade)
Price: $1200/month for each class

FOCUS

This program is ideal for working parents that need to have two or four hours per day of reliably uninterrupted time, and for children who would like to focus on one learning topic per month and accelerate their expertise.

Once you have selected from among our available topics and found a convenient time, your child will be assigned to a class. With a dedicated instructor, low student-instructor ratio, access to online learning both during and outside of class time, your child will quickly advance their learning, while having fun and making new friends.

Anytime, unlimited access to our online learning platform, TalentBox, so students can continue learning and working on their digital movie, code or other project while enrolled.
Phone, email, chat, and webinar-based technical support so we can get your child up and learning smoothly.
Online assessment to make sure that your child is ready

Price: $1400/month for each class

MAXIMUM SUPPORT

This program is ideal for parents that need as much help as possible keeping their children engaged and learning each day, and for children that are super excited to learn coding, engineering, robotics, digital arts and more.

This program includes an unlimited number of classes 9am-9pm ET / 6am-6pm PT, Monday through Friday. Most students sign up for four, six or eight hours spread out across the day.

You and your child will have a dedicated counselor who will:

Guide your child one-on-one though the process of getting their computer ready for classes with all the necessary software and hardware. With your permission, we can install all the needed software and configure your child’s computer remotely. We can even order additional hardware or components as needed. (Billed separately at cost.)
Help you and your child choose the best classes for him or her
Give your child first access to new topics as we roll them out
Check in weekly to ensure that your child is doing well and resolve any unforeseen issues
Provide you with customized weekly reports on your child’s progress

Your child will have unlimited access to TalentBox, including self-paced instruction in all of our nearly 30 topics. For self-paced learners, this opens up a nearly unlimited array of choices! Your child will also have access to the projects they have built for a full year after the program ends, so they can continue to improve their digitally animated movie, hone the video game they have coded or improve on whatever projects they have started.

ACTIVATE

This program is ideal for working parents who need two hours each week when they can feel confident that their child will be engaged and those who want to get started slowly with live, instructor-led, virtual classes.

Your child will join us for two hours, once a week — on the same day and at the same time, each week — for a class that will focus on one topic. The program lasts for four weeks. Depending on the topic you choose, programs are available Monday through Friday, 9am-9pm ET / 6am-6pm PT, and with five topics to choose from, you should have no trouble finding a topic, day and time that works best for you and your child.

Program includes:

Anytime, unlimited access to our online learning platform, TalentBox, so students can continue learning and working on their digital movie, code or other project while enrolled.
Phone, email, chat, and webinar-based technical support so we can get your child up and learning smoothly.

Price: $275/month for each class. Enroll in three and the fourth is 25% off.
