Video Game Design

For a moment, imagine working for Nintendo or Electronic Arts.  Don’t think you have the necessary skills to do it?  Utilize Video Game Design curriculum in Talent Box and learn how to plan and program clever, enjoyable, and thought-provoking experiences for others to play and explore.  For 2D Video Game Design, students will use Game Maker Studio, a video game engine with a drag-and-drop interface and scripting capabilities, to sculpt your own personalized platformer, maze, or space shooter, learning the fundamentals of coding along the way.  From there, students can jump to 3D Video Game Design, utilizing the more sophisticated Unity application software to render three-dimensional worlds and characters.  Remember— even the creators of Super Smash Bros. had to start somewhere!
