After School Club Costs

STEM After School Club can be paid on Auto-Pay every month. Cost is varied, based on the number of blocks your child attends, as follows:

1 block: $170/month
2 blocks: $270/month
3 blocks: $360/month
4 blocks: $440/month
5 blocks: $500/month
6 blocks: $552/month

We also allow for pay-in-full discounts, which is available if you pay in full by March 31st 2019 for the 2019-2020 School Year. If a full payment is received by that date, you will get the last month of ASC (June) for free. This only applies if you attend for the full duration of the school year.

To reserve a seat in our 2019-2020 After School program, you are required to pay for the first month in advance, which is non-refundable after July 1st. We do this because we are reserving a seat for your child, and often have to turn other families away to keep your spot in our program.

The price of the program is based on 180 school days and is broken down into 10 payments scheduled on the 1st of each month. For children who join mid-year, we prorate the yearly cost accordingly. However, months with holidays or breaks are not pro-rated in any way for any missed days, because the price of ASC is based on the full school year.

See our policy for cancellations and refund terms.

3:00pm-3:45pm: Arrival, Snacks, and Choice Time – Kids arrive anytime from ~3pm-4pm, and dive right into group activities, fun & games, and snacks. Kids also can use their choice time for projects or Minecraft.

3:45pm-4:00pm: Circle Up – We start each day going over the agenda, and making sure we are welcoming new students and reviewing our respect rules.

4:00pm-5:30pm: Tech & Design Project Time – Kids choose from our 3 core domains of technology curriculum: Digital Arts & Design, Robotics & Electronics, and Coding & Game Design. Tracks within each domain consist of:

  • Digital Arts & Design – Stop Motion Animation, Digital Animation, 3D Modeling & Printing, Electronic Music Production, Architecture
  • Robotics & Gadgets – LEGO EV3 Robotics, Arduino, Electronics, Circuitry
  • Coding & Game Design – 2D & 3D Video Game Design, Scratch, Greenfoot, Java

5:30pm-5:45pm: Physical Break – Sometimes there is no better way to release energy then a good ol’ game of capture the flag, kickball, or Empow exclusive games like ‘Ollie Tag.’ When the weather is not nice, we stay inside for indoor activities in our open space, including our very own four-square court.

5:45pm-6:30pm: Choice Time – We wrap up each day with giving kids the choice of continuing to develop their projects, reading a book, playing games, or simply relaxing from a long day! During this time is when most kids get picked up.
