Natick STEM Summer Camps add new Summer Camp programs
Empow Studios adds to its Natick summer camp offerings
Natick, MA – After running a successful STEM education camp in Natick last summer, Empow Studios educators will return to the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick for another summer of fun and learning in 2019. “We’re always trying to expand our summer offerings to give more options for local families. We’re excited to introduce our Java Coding Camp to Natick, to go along with Tech & Design and Minecraft Camps,” says Empow’s Executive Director Dave Gutierrez.
Educators from Empow Studios, which has studios in Lexington and Newton, have taught at the Tobin Beaudet School and the Morse Library Institute in Natick for many years and have enjoyed offering a summer option for the community.
The week-long summer STEM camps, that have expanded Empow’s existing camp network, are geared towards students ages 7-14 and focus on subjects ranging from robotics, 3D printing and coding to stop-motion animation, architectural design, and audio engineering. Campers complete collaborative challenges throughout the week, earning achievement badges that level up from white belt to black belt, and go home with project files to be shared with family and friends.
